The Safe Routes to Schools Golden Sneaker Contest is coming to Mission Valley!
Mission Valley will be participating in the Golden Sneaker Contest for two weeks from March 3rd through the 14th. Classrooms will compete against each other to see who can WALK, BIKE, or CARPOOL the most when traveling to school or home. The winning classroom will receive the coveted Golden Sneaker trophy and a smoothie party. At the party, students will make their smoothies on a Blender powered by a bicycle and student pedal power.
The Golden Sneaker contest offers a chance for every student to participate. If you live too far from school to walk or bike you can always:
• Park a few blocks away and walk
• Meet up with friends who live close to school and walk as a group
• Start a carpool
